Meet our Founding Partner

James Williams III has an eclectic background that provides our client base with additional perspective in addressing conflict and achieving mutually beneficial resolutions.

James Williams III, MSAD, ABT, Sociology, from the USC, provides both academic and real world experience, including his 22 years as a Senior Conciliation Specialist with the Community Relations Service, U.S. Department of Justice; his decades of community engagement and organizing experience; his youth development and mentoring; in addition to his pioneering work in creating multi-sector partnerships for collaborative peacemaking and problem solving.

His work in uniting communities in conflict has been described as visionary, groundbreaking and innovative.  James has worked in all sectors of this country: rural; urban; suburban; North, South, Southwest, Midwest and the West Coast, including the Pacific Islands, working with community partners, organizers, and concerned residents to facilitate their concerns into an ongoing collaborative partnership that addresses and resolves concerns.  He is also a proud father of five, vegan cook, demographer, sociologist,  poet and an avid practitioner of Taijiquan and Yoga.

Seminars, Workshops and Customization

In an effort to provide maximal partner support, JAWConsulting offers programs, facilitated dialogues and trainings addressing student/school conflict(s), community conflict (race, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability status and gender identity); youth issues and youth/law enforcement issues; law enforcement community engagement strategies and critical incident response (community, school and law enforcement related).
